Pick up the phone

Yesterday was the premiere of Lady GaGa's new video, Telehone, featuring Beyoncé. Yes, Beyoncé is all over the place. I liked and I didn't, but it's creative and at the same time, messy. It's a short film with 9 minutes and a song with less minutes than the half of 9, that means a lot of cuts...

The song is in the deluxe edition of the The Fame record, The Fame Monster. This same partnership can be seen in Video Phone, a Beyoncé's lamentable video. But since GaGa seems to be more creative, I picked my favorite scenes and the ones I hated.

The striped dress really pleased me. Reminds me of the 40's, but with modern kicks, of course. But she doesn't wear it for too long. And what about those cavernous-bricklayer-prision guards? I'm so scared.

"I told you she didn't have a dick" . That's what one of the prison guards says after they take her clothes off and lock her up in the cell. Wears nothing but Fishnet Pantyhose and two pasties covering her nipples.

My favorite scene is at the prison's courtyard, where she wears chains with giant links on her shoulders and glasses made with cigarettes (I WANT IT).

After a fight between detainees, she receives a call and picks up the phone wearing soda cans as curlers.

Again in the cell, with nothing but yellow strips around her body. I don't like this scene but I like the strips. Very thin. Skeletal.

I laugh my ass off with that hat, but I hate the hair. In that scene she's going out of jail. She even does tap-dance.

Now it starts to get tacky. Beyoncé, with her fringe and black lipstick (or dark blue, if you prefer) proves she doesn't belong with Lady GaGa's different style. If you like it, congratulations! I'm happy for you.

The worst scene is at the kitchen, where she prepares sandwiches and poisons the restaurant's food.

Even though I don't like that hair, I like the telephone made of hair. The poisoned food has been served.

With her fringe even shorter, Beyoncé tries to seduce a guy at the restaurant. Seems like her face is gonna explode.

I got shocked when I saw her with the glasses GaGa wore in Paparazzi. Unnecessary. Not to mention the yellow dress. The hat is cute.

In a room, God knows where, Beyoncé "confronts" a telephone. I like the lipstick. Only the lipstick.

Other scene that I didn't like is the restaurant dance scene. That outfit of the USA flag is so 1999. The choreography sucks. As a friend of mine says, it's the frog dance.

I finally think she looks beautiful! Wearing leopard-printed outfit and with an amazing make-up. Didn't like the scene though, but she's gorgeous.

Last scene, the two of them on the road. Beyonce looks beautiful. She looks like her now.

And the video is to be continued. Seems like it's gonna be on Alejandro's video.

The video was inspired by a Frida Kahlo's frame.
